The row of office towers and residential apartments creates a backdrop separating the industrial side from the Station area side

Market Street cuts through the heart of the city and the comercial district. Trolley lines run, cross and turn onto Market Street.

The new Market Street is Wider and Flat which is open to expansion of the trolley system.

Old Market street crossed the corridor through an underpass creating a hill only a cable car could negotiate The trolley went down this hill like a rollercoster

The 30th Street Station Area is in Progress The lower level platforms have to be redone and the High Line has to be put in. Also trolley track section and wire has to be installed. If you look closely  you can see that  the catenary span is from marklin.  Some time ago I had laid all the inner tracks with concrete flex track which really didn't look all that great if all other tracks/switches weren't  concrete.  Some of the concrete tracks are still under 30th street

Acela Train Speeding Through the Interlocking In the Old City. The acela like All the trains that operate off of catenary have to be rewired out of the box for "hotwire-> rail return"

Catenary was made in sections with Jiggs.  Each catenary section was a 12" long on straight tracks. On curved sections it was made custom to each track conditions Support spans were made from Jiggs for  3,4 & 6 tracks. Insulators are a mixture of wire seed beeds.

A couple of E60s and P40 are on the Engine house tracks while a 70s style metroliner peeks into the picture
