Aerial view 1 ..  There is some space for an overbuild.  If there is commercial/residential  demand for it in the city.  This railroad Just like the Protoype is strapped for cash and would gladly sell the air Rights.

The Highline has reached the Broad Street Station module.

NEW PICTURES OF THE TRACK LEVEL OF 30TH STREET STATION  SHOWING NEW SUPPORT COLUMNS AND HIGH LEVEL PLATFORM.  PLATFORM COLUMNS , 2 STAIR ENCLOSURES PER PLATFORM AND PLATFORM LIGHTING HAVE TO BE INSTALLED. CATENARY POLES AND WIRES HAVE TO BE MODIFIED. YOU CAN SEE THE STREET LAMPS AND  OVERHEAD WIRES FOR THE TROLLEY LINE THAT SERVES 30TH STREET STATION
ABOVE AND BELOW SHOW WHERE THE HIGHLINE INCLINE STARTS IN THE INDUSTRIAL SECTION OF THE CITY (A NORTH PHILLY OF YEARS PAST). A MIXED TONNAGE TRAIN IS ON TRACK 4. THE SMALL YARD WAS ONCE A PLACE WHERE ENGINES WERE STORED NOW IT WILL BECOME A FREIGHT YARD FOR THE INDUSTRIES IN THIS PART OF TOWN . THE BUILDINGS IN THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE PHOTOS ARE ALL MADE OF CARDBOARD.FROM THE ORGINAL CARDBOARD CITY . NOTE: THE PROTOTYPE HIGHLINE HAS VERY LITTLE GRADIENT

NEW PICTURES OF THE APPROACHES TO 30TH STREET STATION  WITH THE UNDERGROUND TRACKAGE ABOUT 70% COMPLETE  WITH HIGH LEVEL PLATFORMS. NEXT ON THE TO-DO LIST INCLUDE FINISHING THE PLATFORMS AND ADDING COLUMN SUPPORTS FOR THE STATION. LIGHTING THE PLATFORMS AND INSTALLING CATENARY. AND HIGHLINE BRIDGE PAST 30TH STREET STATION.
I ALMOST DIDN'T MAKE IT OVER THIS TROLLEY LINE AND HAD TO LOWER THE OVER HEAD WIRE A BIT FOR MORE CLEARANCE.

NEW PICTURES OF THREE DIFFERENT TYPES OF BRIDGE TYPES ON THE HIGHLINE . A SERIES OF FOUR BRICK ARCHES,  A THRU GIRDER BRIDGE FOR THE SPRING GARDEN OVERPASS & A DOUBLE TRACK CITY VIADUCT FROM MICRO ENGINEERING. IM GOING  MODIFY THE SUPPORTS ON THE VIADUCT TO MATCH THE EXISTING HIGHLINE. THE INCLINE FOR VIADUCT IS 4%. I CANT WAIT TO PUT UP THE CATENARY .

THIS PORTION OF THE LAYOUT IS BEING REBUILT. THE LAYOUT WAS MOVED AND THE 30TH STREET STATION SIDE WAS DAMAGED. THE NEW SECTION SHOWN IS THE APPROACH RAMP TO THE 2 TRACK HIGHLINE (SEE PLANS FOR MORE DETAIL) ALSO SHOWN IS A THREE TRACK LIFT BRIDGE. WOODLAND SCENIC RAMPS WERE A GREAT HELP!  I AM BUILDING A SERIES OF ARCHES FOR THIS SECTION OF THE HIGHLINE JUST BEFORE IT CROSSES SPRING GARDEN STREET BRIDGE
BELOW SHOWS THE NEW APPROACH BEFORE THE LIFT BRIDGE . WITH THIS NEW TRACK LAYOUT ITS POSSIBLE FOR 4 TRAINS TO RUN CONTINUOSLY. PREVIOUSLY A BOTTLE NECK AT THE LIFTBRIDGE PREVENTED THIS. THE TRACK TO THE LEFT RETURNS BACK TO THE MAINLINE
